i always do things for him i support him mentally, emotionally, and finacially, but if i ask him for anything i get the third degree. why is that, what should i do.

Hmmm the third degree doesn't sound good. I was going to say that maybe he does but has a different way of showing it to you. I know that I sometimes feel that I give so much and get little in return but it's not exactly true. We're all different and show how we care about people in different ways. Maybe tell him how he's making you feel. If he doesn't understand and doesn't want to make you happy (and by listening to you and acting on what you say is the way to make you happy) then you may want a rethink. Only you can decide that though!

You can't make someone love and appreciate you. You have to decide wether or not it's worth it for you being in this relationship.
The first step is talk to him. If he doesn't want to talk then you have a bigger problem of no communication. Talk to him, and then go from there.
