Yes, and its called dermatist = inflamation of the dermis layer of skin . It will cause scarring and sometimes crater in the skin.

Once it breaks the skin, it is open to additional infection..

Yes, try and keep your skin clean and don't pick!!! Wash your hands before you touch your face, dab the pimple with rubbing alochol if you have to.
