i need a free software download for pioneer dvd-rw dvr-k16a. my cd driver isn't working. thank you. :)

Search for Pioneer's website and go there to SUPPORT/Downloads and type in the model # you need the driver for... Good Luck :-) OR if the dvd player came with your computer, you can find the driver at the computer's website.... If for some freak-of-net reason you can't find the driver at these 2 sites... You WILL find it at www.drivers.com

clcik start, my computer, right click on your burner, click on properties, click on autoplay tab, click on prompt me. do they say they are working properly in device manager? first to go bad on burners is the burning laser. odd for 2 to go bad at the same time but honestly they do not last very long unless you use a cdrom cleaning disk regularly.
