That would be fine. You can use pineapple juice, cranberry juice and orange juice with everclear or vodka, garnish with a few lemons, limes and oranges slices. It is simple delicious. Do you know someone that makes homemade Wine? or use Strawberries & cheap strawberry hill wine and everclear .it wonderful , freeze it for several hours before the wedding and serve it slushy, had some of this Friday night(got a good buzz)

You are smart for sticking to your budget. People will be attending because they truly care about you both and want to share your special day, not because they want to be served a great dinner and alcoholic beverages. How about serving sparkling apple cider for the toast, and fruit punch and everclear for drinks throughout the reception. People are becoming more and more health conscience, so many are not drinking anyway. Your idea sounds great to me. It doesn't take a lot of money to serve horderves and punch, and you can actually make it very elegant. Congratulations, I hope your wedding will be spectacular!

this is totally large - that's what we did for our wedding ceremony. must be our section, using fact out of 20 weddings I or we've attended, there has in no way been a champagne toast! And maximum human beings of those have been formal, classic weddings. Have a bottle each and every of white and purple on each and every table, then human beings can pick which they want. maximum human beings pour a pitcher whilst they are seated, so they're going to have wine of their glass for the toast.

A champagne punch would be "nicer" --- you can use the REALLY cheap champagne (like $3 a bottle!) and nobody will know because of the other ingredients. You can mix with something as simple as cranberry juice, or mix champagne with orange juice, lemonade, and limeade. Tons of recipes online.

Fruit punch and everclear? I'm there! Backyard weddings are the best.

there are other things you can get that are simple in cost.... arbor mist is fairly cheap and it tastes good too. fruit punch and everclear remind me of a hillbilly wedding where they make the punch in a new trashcan and it is called just that " trash can punch" . i would go with the arbor mist.

well, you could just invite a few close friends to the reception instead of everyone at the wedding, that would limit the cost of drink...... or yes, punch and cake would be ok too..... or you could, asign the drinks to certain family and friends, they could , instead of gifts, give it as present...... a lot of ppl ask ppl to sponsor or in stead of gifts help with the wedding... like the maid of honor and brides maids and a few other friends could give the cake, and the groomsmen give the drinks or grooms cake, etc....... get the picture ??? a great aunt, or uncles, cousins, etc.... there are many ways to have a nice wedding without the high cost........ God bless

There is no rule that says you must serve alcohol at a wedding, none whatsoever. My husband and I don't drink, and we didn't have alcohol at our wedding, and it was a very nice reception as well.
