You can look it up from several sources, like Jane's All The World's Aircraft from the library.
There's too much info to really talk about it here so I suggest you do a little reading up yourself (the information are all well organized so its easy to read and reference, don't worry).

Try Wikepedia. Or just Google.
Type in B-52, bomber (you don't want to bring up fans sites for the 80s band the B-52s). Also type in SAC which is Strategic Air Command. The B-52 in the 50s and 60s was the main bomber for this elite US Air Force unit.
Good Luck ;)

Here is a site you can check out on the B-52.
I worked on B-52G's as a Structural Repairman for 4 years in the 1960's. I personally didn't like the aircraft but I guess it served it's purpose. Just the thought of the destruction these aircraft can inflect on an enemy is tremendously scary. It is a giant aircraft and I'm certainly glad that I didn't have to fly in one.

Here is a really cool web site that has a video of a B-52 crashing. It also provides lots of background information on this particular crash and some of the aerodynamic issues that plague the B-52.

It was powered by 8 General Electric turbofans which could supposedly can use kerosene as an alternative fuel in the event that jet fuel is not available.
The military has a nick name for it - BUFF - Big Ugly Fat F**cker
