I am currently border-line obese. All my fat is stored up in these huge saddlebag fat rolls that hang over my hips and i can't get rid of them. I was at walmart buying some diet pills when the clerk that was scraping the gum off the floor told me about this new sugar diet where you eat 400 to 500grams of sugar per day and try to minimize your carbohydrates while keeping your fat content the same. I went to Krispy Kream and they told me that diet plan was written all over their 24 variety pack of doughnuts. Sadly to say, i've gained an extra 50lbs and I can't get back into contact with the clerk at wal mart. How can i lose these saddlebags in a hurry ?
Thanks guys !

Don't be in such a hurry. If you take it off fast, it will come back fast.

Try to retrain yourself - not just diet or take diet drugs - so that a good diet will become a habit. Eat lots of fruit and vegetables, as little meat as you can, very little sugar, and exercise.

The best and most sensible weight loss program is Weight Watchers.

From the top...

Your body is an "machine" that takes in fuel (food, measured in calories) and then burns it to stay alive and produce work (exercise).

If you take in more fuel than you burn, then your body stores it in fat cells. If you take in less than you need, your body gets energy out of fat cells (and you lose weight).

Diet pills do one of 3 things... make you crap faster, make you hyper (so you exercise more and burn more energy), or suppress your apetite. Unfortunately, when you stop taking the pills, the weight comes back quickly, with usually a few extra pounds.

What you need isn't a diet, but a LIFESTYLE change. You need to learn to eat differently, as well as to burn more energy through physical activity. Groups like Weight Watchers do exactly that -- they teach you a new lifestyle, with different eating habits as well as different exercise habits.

I have a friend who has lost 50% of her weight -- 150 pounds... 1-2 pounds per week for the last 2 years or so. She changed her lifestyle, and doesn't feel like she's dieting.

Another joined weigh watchers, and is at 30% loss, around 65 pounds -- again, 1-2 pounds a week. She made some lifestyle changes (including a loss of 185 ugly pounds when she dumped her hubby) and now she's looking good again.

To lose weight, a person has to reduce the calorie intake by some amount by modifying their diet. A diet without sufficient nutrients will only increase the appetite of the person trying to lose weight. Since most people combine a diet with an exercise plan, additional nutrients are required for the growth of muscles required to increase the metabolic rate required for long term weight loss. Looking at your other questions you need more than diet advice. I think the only people that can help you... work at a mental institution!
