Maybe your crate is to big!
The smaller the crate, the better. Only use it for sleeping.
Do not feed your puppy after 5pm & no water after 7pm.
Carry outside to potty last time 11pm. This should do for 4 hours. It takes time....

Your crate may be too large. See if you can borrow a cat carrier for awhile. I used that on my toy poodle and it worked good.
A dog training crate should ideally be large enough for your dog to stand up, turn around, and lay down in.
You certainly don’t want the crate to be too small as your dog will be uncomfortable.
But the dog crate can be too big as well.
You do not want the dog kennel to be too large because then the dog or puppy will have space to go potty on one side and sleep on the other side of the dog crate.

Make sure when you buy the dog crate that it will be the right size for you dog when he is fully grown not just puppy size.
If you get the dog crate when your dog is still a puppy, you can get a panel that divides the kennel and allows your puppy to grow into the dog crate.

You can buy a dog training crate in either plastic or metal, but each has a more appropriate use for your dog or puppy.
The plastic type of dog crate is more suited for travelling.
They are lightweight and allowed on most airlines.
The metal wire dog crate are more suited for your house.
They tend to last longer, usually have more room and better ventilation.
The metal dog crate is more of a long-term domicile for you dog or puppy.

They will usually not go potty where they sleep and rest. After taking your puppy out of the crate, immediately take him outside to go, but do not stop and play first. After they have gone, remember to give him more praise.

It is usually not a good idea to let new puppies run around freely in your home when you are away. There are simply too many things they can get into that can harm them or your home. If you are too busy to supervise, or need to step out of the house for a short while, using a crate can be a great idea. Remember to use consistent commands and lots of praise.

During the night, it is a good idea to put the puppy's crate in the bedroom with you. Sleeping in the same room helps them to settle down more quickly and makes them more comfortable. Additionally, if they need to go potty during the night you will be able to hear them.

If she is in the crate and does not have any eating/bathroom schedule it is not that she doesn't care but that she has no other choice.
My bf has a seeing eye guide dog and they have feeding/bathroom schedules to prevent them from going to the bathroom in public places. She is a Lab and has 3 food & bathroom breaks a day.

Ask your vet what would be apropriate for your dog. This will keep both of you happy and is much healthier for her.

Also the smaller the crate the better does not always apply they make different sizes for different sized dogs. If you are unsure again consult your vet or a pet store employee!

good luck!

Ha Ha Sounds like you have got a stubborn one like I have!!!!!!! Mine is about 6 months old now. That is the orneriest dog i have ever see in my life! She will poop & pee in the floor when if I make her mad! She tore my mini blind up, I mean ripped it up, cause I wouldn't take her outside with me. I watched the whole thing, it was like that movie Jaws, shaking it from side to side and wouldn't stop till it was demolished. It was scarry! They are very smart I think they do all that on purpose! I would suggest an obedience class, I want to do this myself but the nearest one is 2 hrs away. It is a 4 day class. I can't seem to arrange the time. Another example of my frustrating future with this dog, is the other day I was vacuuming, she was trying to bite the vacuum, when she couldn't win she just squated & peed right in front of it! What am I going to do with her?
