Romans as in Roman Catholic Church, or as in Romanians? Does it matter who did the deed -- it's what his kind and loving father sent him here for -- to die an agonizing death on the cross with thousands of other Jews.

It was the Jews who tortured and murdered Jesus Christ, a few Roman soldiers joined but it was mostly the Jews. The Roman Judge Pilate even wanted to free him...

Anyone country will try to bury and forget the ugliness of their past. The romans were the ones who crucified Jesus Christ. But my question is, who handed him over to the Romans to begin with?

No Only that He was brought before Pilate for questioning (torture) at the instance of the Jewish Rabbis for heresy against Rome. Pilate found Him Innocent and washed his hands of the matter and left it to the people gathered there as to who should be set free Jesus or Barabbas. Guess who had the larger and louder group of supporters present.
And it was Roman soldiers that escorted Jesus to the Site and Nailed Him to a Cross.

I don't think there's any pure-blooded descendents of the ancient Romans. Most modern-day Italians are results of intermarriage between Romans and the Germanic tribes. Romans, for the record, didn't kill Jesus, according to Christian doctrine. From my understanding (from what Christian sites tell me), our sins put Jesus on the cross, not Romans or any other specific group.

The Romans lucked out of the persecution that fell upon the Jews because the Christians took over Rome and converted or killed most of its pagan population. Roman became Christians while Jews stayed Jews.

The Romans did crusify him friend. But Jesus was not murdered. He gave himself willingly.

Speaking about his life in John 10:18 No man taketh it from me, but I lay it down of myself. I have power to lay it down, and I have power to take it again. This commandment have I received of my Father.

Yes the Romans crusified Christ at the insistance of Jewish leaders at the time. But neither "murdered" him... he was sacraficed as a fulfillment of prophecy. He could have prevented it or stopped it at anytime. With a word. The fact that he went through with it to pay the cost of sin that God had set forth on creation "the wages of sin is death".... shows why it is called Amazing Grace.

There is no such thing as Romans anymore. The Pagan Roman Empire collapsed many centuries ago. The people responsible for the death of Christ are long dead themselves. Would you hold their descendents 2,000 years later responsible for their actions, if you even knew who they are??

Romans did not kills Jesus, Jesus laid down His life, it was God's plan for salvation since the fall of Adam and Eve. Nothing , absolutely nothing happened by mistake, it was God's plan all along, it is in the book of Genesis.

It wasn't the Romans that crucified Jesus, it was our sin. Mine, today that he died for. For generations to come and for generations that have passed away.
