Women seem to suffer from self-esteem problems more than men.
1. Actually accomplish something. It always helps if you've accomplished some goal, or are really good at something.
2. Learn to be your own hero. What I mean here is to get to a point where you look back, and realize that you're strong enough and good enough to make it through almost anything if you have to.
3. Learn to be just a tick selfish. If you don't look out for yourself then no one else will. It will feel selfish at first, but eventually you'll realize that a drowning person can't save a drowning person, and a floundering soul can't raise a family or be a good spouse.

Stop thinking negative thoughts that prevent you from taking action. You have to realize that your mind is putting up an illusion of what you think is real, and it takes real strength to break it.
The more you accept your own limitations, the more guilt you will feel. Say no to your own mind. Stop believing the lies that you tell yourself. Get in the habit of questioning your beliefs and assumptions. Get out and live the life that you want to live, and don't let your mind hold you back.

My advice is that you FAKE it until you MAKE it. Look at people who seem confidant to you. What do they have that you do not? Hold your head high, make eye contact, smile, shake hands with a firm grip, don't slouch. Eventually if you act the part it'll become part of you.

Get a book on improving your spelling. That would build your confidence asking questions, which will lead to the answers you are seeking.
