I know someone who might be attending UC Santa Barbara in the future and would like to know what and where is the nearest train station. Also, which bus would she have to take to that train station?

Please help....thanks in advance =)

Amtrak will bus you from the La station to Oxnard, from there it will put you on a train to Santa Barbara, and the same in reverse, its appx, @ a 100mile trip and would probably be less of a hassle and cost to just take a busline straight through(like grehound or whatever)

The closest train station would be on State Street just north of Cabrillo Blvd. You cant miss it...its a big building located right on the tracks and you will see people standing outside waiting the train!!!! Your friend would be taking Amtrak into Los Angeles or where ever she/he needs to go. Amtrak will take that person all the way into San Diego. Thats always fun to ride the train!!! Hope this information helped!!!!!!!!!!

you could take the Amtrak Pacific Surfliner to Union Station in l. a.. then you definately can take the seventy six or 376 Metro Bus to Alhambra, or take the Metrolink prepare to Cal State l. a., this is close sufficient to Alhambra so which you would be able to capture a trip, or take Alhambra Bus B.
