I can understand(not agree with) people who want the illegals who work hard and want a better life to be given a chance. But I am utterly confused by those of you who seem to think we have no right to secure our borders to keep out those who might harm us. Take these people for example-

Alberto- Let me clarify, I did not state that half of ALL undocumented have committed crimes(other than immigration offenses, anyway). I stated that half of those deported in the article had a criminal record. There is a difference.

Junkmail, if you are going to respond to a question, I suggest you read the article first. This is not about hating undocumented people or diversity. You want us to build a fence to keep other countries' criminals inside OUR country? That's insane. YOU need to be educated. We don't need the crime of other countries, we have enough of our own.

Great question.....
Even though I am pro amnesty, it has to be with restrictions! Your right, we can't let every felon just come on in and commit more crimes....I say, the one's already here, who are not on welfare and don't have criminal records, should be legalized and allow to stay and start paying taxes.....Of course continuing securing the borders.....

Saying that half the undocumented immigrants that are here are criminals is one of the main reasons why so much division and hatred against Americans are beginning to emerge very quickly. We do not support REAL criminals like gang members etc. to be in the U.S. Those people belong in whatever country they are from in prison for hurting other innocent people. The majority of Undocumented Immigrants like you mentioned, are here to make a better lives of themselves without hurting other people but to the contrary, contributing to society. Yes they do pay taxes and yes they may have to get medical attention at some point them being here. But that's why there should be a Guest Working Program. Anyways too much typing for this question. But Ill get back top you later on that note.

Build a wall and keep them in the US. AMNESTY for the hard working North Americans (Mexico is in North America). We need them if you think we don't you need to do some serious studying. Leave the undocumented alone, americans should stop hating on immigrants and focus on teaching their children some damn morals. Mentor your children so grade school girls stop having sex, teach your children alcohol and drugs are not good for them, spend some damn time with your kids instead of bothering good folks. The illegal hardworkers are the least of your problems. Why do you think the government hasn't done anything about them? They know they contribute to America. The government just pulled a fast one by the radicals. Yes it calls for the wall to be built but it doesn't say how, when, how it will be paid, etc... They are just setting it up for immigration reforms. HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!
Worry about companies outsourcing and building factories overseas. Why is there no outcry about that?? You are blinded by hate for diversity.

That's a baited question. Are you saying that there aren't any violent criminals who are US citizens? Of course you're not (but, if you are, you are wrong).
I think most people who believe illegal immigrants deserve more rights also wish that 100% of them were hard-working and law-abiding. But, as with ALL people, legal or illegal, some are criminals.
My point is, the illegal immigrant question really has nothing to do with the article you posted. You could dig around and find criminals within any demographic group. For example, if I posted a story which compiled the stories of criminals over the age of 65, would it make any sense for me to argue that we should lock up all of the old people?

Yes secure all borders! The ones who have no criminal record,that have been here a number of years, have children (that were born here), that have jobs to support their families, I feel should be allowed to apply to stay here legally.

We should not send them back to their home country. We should send them somewhere else. Not many MS-13 Salvadorans or these Mexican illegals would want to risk it if they woke up, stepped off the plane and found themselves in Rwanda or Somalia. That would change many people's attitude toward coming here and towards committing crimes once here

They have rights as a human being to roam this earth as they please. Criminals are all around us. If you ever been given any moving violation by a COP, you can consider yourself a criminal for braking the law. Do we want you out of this county for this crime? Lets see, harm you?? How many schools have been shot up? Of those, how many illegals did the shooting? The Amish are people that we should all follow and treat everyone with respect and dignity. ILLEGAL OR ILLEGAL.
