Think of it this way: whereever there is a negative there's got to be one positive.
Example: You see your mom smacking the jeebies out of your brother. YOu see it, feel for him, and when you have kids down the line, YOU choose to speak to your kids, and not physically abuse them.
You my friend have a choice to empower yourself, and change any time anywhere, and your kids will love you for it.

the ranks are high but they are not always fact. people just like to grab onto those numbers and continue the cycle. It may go on to the next generation but at some point one of the generation has the power to break those bad chains. It is about how much education they have and how much self worth they have for breaking the chain and starting new, healthier ones.

no my mom was in an abusive relationship for many years and i turned out fine. Your children may realize they don't want a life like that and follow another path. Please if you are in an abusive relationship get out now before it is too late it took my mom 5 broken ribs a broken nose and other injuries to realize that if she didn't leave she would end up dead or really hurting the other person and you don't want to put your kids thru that. it causes many years of pain believe me its been 7 years now and i still have nightmares of waking up in the middle of the night hearing my mom get beat up and now my mom has many self confidance issues.

I think it all depends on the person, I grew up like that too, and I will have to say it is hard something, kids they just get under ur skin, but everytime I get upset, I think about my childhood, and how diffcult it was, and I know in my heart that I want better for my child. Dont go by world facts, go by the person

VERY much SO.
Children learn what they are taught. 90% of what they learn is from their parents and family.
If they are raised in an abusive environment. They are going to think it is OK later in life.
