Water directly affects the rate of weight loss by
1)improving the functioning of the kidney. Most of the metabolism of fat takes place in the liver. When a sufficient amount of water is not available, the kidneys are unable to function properly and the liver has to take up part of the functions of the kidneys. This reduces the rate at which fat is burnt in the liver. When the intake of water is adequate, there is an increase in the rate at which the liver burns fat.
2)suppressing the appetite. If you drink water half an hour before having your meals, you are likely to be less hungry and will eat less.
3)by increasing your intake of water, you can reduce water retention. If enough water is not being consumed, the human body retains all the water available. After drinking enough water for a week, a person can lose 1-2 kg almost immediately.
4) All chemical processes during energy metabolism will function better if the body is well hydrated. The metabolic rate for a well hydrated body could increase by up to 3%

Yes. Try to drink at least 64 ounces a day. Your body needs water for all of its processes, especially flushing toxins and fat from your body. Exercising is a great way to lose weight and you need lots of water to hydrate your body. Drink water, before, during and after exercise. Before meals, drink a glass of water to help fill you up, so that you won't feel like overeating. And try drinking water with a little lemon last thing at night and first thing in the morning to help gently cleanse your system.

Let me just tell you ... When I was younger and wanted to shed a few pounds. I started drinking more water. I especially drank two cups before sitting down to eat. Than an hour or so after I'd drink another cup or two.

Along with fast paced walking, I never could run, I did lose weight.

Will it work for you? Try it.

Drinking the daily 8 glasses a day is good for flushing out your system and keeping it clean and rid of toxins. Benefits your skin as well. Just do not over do it, excessive water can harm your kidneys and liver from trying to keep up the filtration through your system.

Since if you are dehydrated you may think you are craving food then being hydrated can curb your appetite, and since water has no calories then it is a good way to lose weight

Sure does - as long as that is not all you are drinking/eating.

Water helps to flush out the body and any toxins making you feel bloated and fat and also fills you up so you eat less.

Only if you drink it instead of eating! Seriously, if you drink a glass of water before a meal you will get full quicker and so eat less.
That's the theory anyway
