Blasphemy against the Spirit
- Therefore, I say to you, every sin and blasphemy will be forgiven people, but blasphemy against the Spirit will not be forgiven (Matthew 12:31)
Is the sin of attributing to Satan
- But when the Pharisees heard this, they said, "This man drives out demons only by the power of Beelzebul, the prince of demons." (Matthew 12:24)
What is the work of the Spirit of God
- But if it is by the Spirit of God that I drive out demons, then the kingdom of God has come upon you. (Matthew 12:28)
We really do not know why Jesus said this sin is unforgivable.
With love in Christ.

The case of "blasphemy against the Spirit" in the New Testament is mentioned in Mark 3:22-30 and in Matthew 12:22-32. The term blasphemy may be generally defined as "defiant irreverence." We would apply the term to such sins as cursing God, or willfully degrading things relating to God. It is also attributing some evil to God, or denying Him some good that we should attribute to Him. This case of blasphemy, however, is a specific one, called "THE blasphemy against the Holy Spirit" in Matthew 12:31. In Matthew 12:31-32, the Pharisees, having witnessed irrefutable proof that Jesus was working miracles in the power of the Holy Spirit, claimed instead that the Lord was possessed by the demon "Beelzebub" (Matthew 12:24). Now notice that in Mark 3:30 Jesus is very specific about what exactly they did to commit "the blasphemy against the Holy Spirit."

If you are worried that you have committed this sin, take heart. The very notion that you are worried means that you didn't commit it.
This sin is not easily accomplished in today's standards. The verses that surround this verse was directed to the Pharisees, Sadducees, and the Teachers of the Law. Remember Jesus's seven woes against them in the book of Matthew? The reason behind them was because the Pharisees and Teachers of the Law had committed this sin. Jesus was crying in anguish at their cold, dead souls.
In short, you are not a Pharisee or Teacher of the Law. All of them died a couple thousand years ago. This sin is not possible these days because the practices of the Pharisees was abandoned after the temple veil was torn.
I hope this gives you some peace of mind.

It isn't a matter of simply "mocking" the Holy Spirit. Blaspheming the Holy Spirit means excluding Him from your life, in effect telling Him you are not going to listen to Him any more, so He might as well take a hike and not come back. This sin is not forgiveable as long as this blasphemy remains in effect, because the Holy Spirit is the source of the grace of repentence. It is He who speaks to us through our consciences, encouraging us to turn away from sin and toward God. Therefore if we banish Him from acting in our lives, we can no longer hear the voice of conscience, and no longer receive the grace of repentence. Without repentence there is no forgiveness. That's why this sin is unforgiveable as long as we persist in it.

Blasphemy is in imputing un loving strikes to God : becoming any evil individual or difficulty; performing in an unloving way in the direction of His babies which comprise punishment; suggesting this is even a threat to sin against God - who's all efficient - continuously. Making God out to be a stern Father who metes out some thing different than Love. asserting that God created devil and hell so he ought to punish mankind for not loving { particularly fearing ] God with each and every conscious theory is poor blasphemy using fact it is not sensible nor sane. It has not been analyzed by making use of rational minds. God is barely Love. Any negatives utilized in the direction of Him are blasphemy.

I'll be honest and admit that I don't really know. It more or less refers to denying the work of the Holy Spirit. Some have said that since the Holy Spirit is the person of the Trinity who convicts of sin and offers God's forgiveness for sin, to reject the work of the Holy Spirit is to reject forgiveness--by definition, the unpardonable sin (to refuse to be pardoned is unpardonable). I'd have to do more study myself before I could confidently accept or reject that interpretation.

I have some ideas, but I am not sure. I just know I haven't done it, because the Holy Spirit still dwells in me. I love the Lord!!! It has to do with the confirmation of His Spirit leading me still!
