as answered prior, you can have sex when ever, however, as a far as being protected from pregnancy, read the following from the ortho website

How long until I am protected against pregnancy?
If you use a Sunday Start and you are taking the Pill for the first time, you MUST use a backup method of birth control (such as condoms or spermicide) for the first 7 days. If you use a Day 1 Start, you are protected from becoming pregnant as soon as you take your first pill.

Remember that oral contraceptives are not protection for sexually transmitted diseases.

You have to take the Pill for seven days before you are fully protected from pregnancy. Before seven days you must use another form of contraception.

You are supposed to wait a week before you have unprotected sex. It is ideal to continue to use condoms as a back up method since no one method is 100%.

I believe that the doctor advises that you wait a month for it to be fully reliable. Use reliable methods until then.
