do you really wanna dye your hair? its a pain to keep up with it and is pretty pricey. but then again i'm cheap. if you really think you'd look better with black hair go for it. its your body so you can do what you want. if you dont want a fight though you might wanna sit your mom down and tell her sommething like "look mom i respect your opinion on the way i look but dressing this way makes me happy. and i think i'd look better with black hair. i like it and i hope you can accept it." if she yells at you try not to yell back. its not worth it. eventually she'll realize theres nothing wrong with wearing black.

Girl dont be ridiculpous this whole idea of goth may be a phase that you are going thru and once you dye yr pretty little head black theres no turning back...u would have to bleach the hell out of it to get it blonde again. Just get a wig, and im being serious, if u want black hair that bad. You should know that being goth is more of an attitude not a fashion statement. Like punk? Just go punk...there is more of a uniqueness to that style. It kind of sounds like you arte going with the fad that goths Have to dye their hair to Be goth and that simply isnt true. Set your own path and make yr own rules. Blessed be

who cares what your mom thinks. I've come home with piercings in my face and tattoos. Screw her, but to be honest, the black wont look as good as you think. I have naturally dark brown hair and it looked horrible when I dyed it black. Believe me, it will look like you have a wig on and you'll hate it. I had to chop all of my hair off because the black would not go away and stripping it out fries your hair realy bad. If it looked bad on me and my hair is naturally dark, imagine how it would look on a natural blonde

I think you just neeed to sit down and talk to your mom. NO YELLING!!!Tell her how you feel. Explain what Goth is . I may not like what my child would do with herself when she gets older, but as long as she in NOT into DRUGS or having unprotecte sex, i do not think some hair dye and makeup will hurt a thaing. I understand how you feel. I was not allowed to dye my hair either. When I did i was away from home and my dad and whole family kinda freeked. but they learned to live with it. OF COURSE I was married and on my own. Just have a talk with your mom and aske her does ahe remember being a kid and wanting just a little freedom. BUT DO NOT YELL!!! talking can get a lot done. and if not then come to a compromise.

wow we sound alot alike. im in pretty much the same situation...

im also naturally blonde with really pale skin. i used to wear alot of black but i dont anymore...

i wanted to dye my hair black for a while but in my school there are so many goth, punk, an emo kids there it isnt original anymore.

There are also a TON of girls that bleach their hair to get it blonde... ive learned to enjoy my natural born blondness and laugh at the boxies...

if you are doing it to be original, then whatever. if you are doing it to rebel, be careful. sounds like thats not quite what you want to do.

Frankly i think natural blondes are lucky because we DONT have to pay bukos of money for bleaches and dyes.

Its up to you, but i am punky/goth/emo ish an i keep my blonde hair. Its all about being you.

It sounds to me like you two need to communicate better. She clearly has no idea what you want, and you obviously don't know how to tell her. You should try showing her the picture, explaining from an aesthetic point of view what having black hair does for you. Show her that you can hold a mature conversation and she will believe that you can make mature decisions about your hair. (Me, I don't think hair color matters--it's what the hair covers that determine's a person's worth.)

I'm sorry but I don't really understand exactly what being Goth means except wearing black and dying your hair black if it isn't already. The last thing I worried about was my daughters hair color. It's the rest of the stuff that scared the h*ll out of me. So, maybe if you can explain it to her, she won't mind the (probably temporary) hair color change.

I would honestly think about it if I were you. It's irreversable basically, trashy looking when your hair starts to grow in, which will be every couple of weeks, and it may make you look washed out and pasty.

But, if you still want to, I think it's L'oreal, they make this mousse stuff which washes out after about 3 weeks I think. Tell your mom about it, tell her it's not permanent, and buy some and show her and after that she may not be so freaky about it. =)
