Ok, so you're w/ child and homeless, right? But you are on the internet somehow. A friend maybe.
I hope that friend will help you get down to your local Social Services office and start asking Q's there. You have to be there in person, not online, and ask all the right Q's to them, and hope you get a good "worker" that will really explore the options with you.
Be persistant and weigh all of your choices carefully.
Good Luck.

You don't say where you live, so it's tough to say for sure.

1. Family

2. government help (welfare, "the dole", etc)

3. local religious groups, especially if they are against abortions

4. Where the HELL is the father? I mean, that guy is on the hook for some money here! Go to court and get that child support thing going!

Finally...

You love the kid? then if you can't take care of yourself, let alone the kid, then it's time to consider adoption. I have several friends, nice married couples with good marriages and good jobs, that would love to adopt your child. And, that would solve some financial problems too, since they'd be willing to pay for your medical care, housing, etc.

there is also something called H.U.D. they will get you place to live, based on your income
if no income, you'll have no rent
ask someone at your local medicaid office about it or
take a look in your government section of the phone book
there is alot of options there for you, so that you may recieve the help you need to get on your feet
