can someone give me the nutritional differences between the two? i know milk builds calcium and makes you grow, would soy milk do the same? help would be appreciated. thanks.

im sure they add calcium to the soy milk, the best thing is you get no animal fats from it and none of the allergic reactions that many people have to cows milk. look at the containers in the store and see how much of what vitamins and minerals it provides.

One of the biggest differences between soy milk and regular is that soy milk is lactose free, for those out there that have a lactose intolerance it's an acceptable substitute. As a baby I was on soy milk as it seemed my colic wasn't as bad. Years later I learned that I was on soy for a reason...I am lactose intolerant and it took like 20yrs to figure it out. I still drink regular milk, but just in small amounts or take lactaid to digest the lactose, but yes soy still has calcium and will make you grow much like milk. It may be a good idea though to take a calcium suppliment and multi-vitamins are always a good idea if a person isn't eating quite right.

Soy milk varies greatly from brand to brand so you really need to read the cartons for nutrition information. There is no standard recipe used from company to company so while some soy milk is fabulous for you others are not so great.

soy milk is better but it tastes like **** to me, but either way their both good. Soy milk is good for the skin and hair also!
