Waiting for the Holy Spirit to guide you is highly overrated, as proved by the 31,000 different Protestant creeds, all claiming to be based on the truth of the Bible.
In truth, Jesus promised only that the Holy Spirit would always guide his church to the truth, not every individual Christian.
But the church is also governed by men.
We have no choice but to accept certain teachings from certain men, when they do not stand opposed to scripture, or to other godly beliefs and practices.

i believe it depends on the situation. if a man heals in the name of jesus Christ then that is a reason to believe. becuase it shows God has power. and if God has power then he must be real.

you know, i think sometimes people are so bias and unfair when they know that you are a christian and always think you as perfect person... they tend to forget that people/humans are humans and even the bible tells us that no man is perfect in this world. when they have known that you are bible believer, they think you as "perfect" person. and no need to make mistakes, or else, they won't believe your God...
