Its guy language for their not interested. They give us that line because they figure we will eventually forget about them in time. And if they do see us on the street, they could always say they lost our number or was too busy and didn't have the time. Its a very lame move, but guys pull this one all the time.

Maybe he was being nice and didnt want to hurt your feelings. If you met at a bar or somewhere it's a good way to end the conversation. Maybe he intended to call but is dating someone else and decided not to call you. Some guys are real jerks and they like the power or ego trip they get from getting your number and not calling. If its been more than 2 weeks and he calls you "do not" go out with him unless he has an extraordinary excuse and you know he's not lying. There's lots of good guys out there. Good luck

Sometimes I like to pull a number just for fun. And, if you give me your number after a one night stand, I might just say I'll call to get rid of you.

Once they get what they want, they figure why should I?? Also if you dont put out then their like y waste my time. Bottom line is guys need to grow up, and stop lying about stupid things

Because guys are jerks---especially teenager guys. They are immature---or to be less harsh, maybe the poor guy is just scared. =). I guess I cant say that theyre ALL dumb but maybe just nervous.
