Not particularly. Americans like ales and light beer. Too bad, Guinness is delicious. But that isn't to say that you can't find it, its served at plenty of bars, especially in the Northeast.

Unfortunately few Americans have had the pleasure of tasting Draft Guinness off tap. The bottle/can stuff is totally different.

For weight consciousness Guinness is the only major beer on market with no leftover sugar from fermentation.

Least calories of any beer of same alcohol content.

I live in the West Coast and Guiness is pretty popular here. It isn't the number one or number two import, but it sells really well. Whenever I do a beer reset at the major grocery stores they usually add a new kind of Guiness, like draught, Stout, etc.
At bars usually more popular with Guiness is Bass, called a black and tan. Half Bass and Half Guiness, and it is wonderful. We have a ton of Irish themed bars here in Reno, so it is popular.

Its a favorite in this household but, then we are all Irish Americans. We usually have a couple of cans in our refrigerator. My son will drink nothing at all at a bar if they do not have Guinness.

Guinness is pretty big here. I've never liked it myself...plus, they use fish products in the clarification process (so does Foster's), and I'm a vegetarian.

Guinness is yuck!!! Not all Americans like lite beer--that is for their weight conciousness. Amberbock, Corona and Miller Draft are all good beer, but Guiness---I would not take 3000 cases if offered for free!!! I drank the dark German beer when in Germany-it was good, but keep all the Guinness u want! Pour it out-make a nice puddle.

There is not a big following in the southwest here. I do like Guiness Draught. You can buy the four pack in any liquor store.
