The fact that you are worried about it and reside daily in a religious section Is more than slightly ironic!

The answer to this is that God does not let people suffer in hell for eternity. What has been translated as "eternal burning" could better be translated as "burning until it's burned up."

Also, he loved mankind so much that he sent his only son to die for them so, if they would just accept him (and they are given many chances) they will be given the opportunity to live with him in heaven.

Ironic and sadistic. My only begotten son sacrificed (murdered) for you. Gee no wonder people who believe that are scared of thinking for themselves. Maybe they're afraid he might do the same to them.

The irony is that as a non-believer you spend a lot of time trying to disprove what we as Christians believe in. What does it matter to you that we believe in God? If you don't believe, then just go on with your life and let us go on with ours.

It's religion. It doesn't have to make sense. Logic and reason doesn't get people into the pews. Only empty threats and empty promises of rewards, if given with enough emotion, really has the power to fill up those pews with money donating sheep.
