Is it really intimidating? Or is it because the girls don't put out?
And if so then how do smart girls get dates?

I don't plan to change at all.. and I just want a date.. not a serious relationship.
Also most of the boys I am attracted to are very intelligent, but they too seem preoccupied with the ditzy girls...
Thus it begs my orginal question..

First let me tell you that in high school, boys are still not as mature as girls. If they don't like smart girls because they don't 'put out' then that just makes them hornballs, dosen't it? I know what you are going through. It was hard for me to get dates too because most guys that age don't take relationships seriously. Just be yourself. If I could go back in time, I would not have been worried about what some high-school boy thought of me. Oh the years I wasted! Be yourself and the right guy will come along, but don't worry about it like I did. Enjoy high school! Best of Luck to you!

I wouldn't worry about "BOYS" at a high school level.... find a man :-)....Depends...you can be a hero to some that may need your help and or who need to be intellectually stimulated with equivalent intelligence... or they could be intimidated by someone more intelligent than they.... so just kind of start a conversation and see how they speak, if they're vocab only consists of words less than 2 syllabuls... then you know you may need to knock it down a notch.... a great conversation starter to find out what the other person's intelligence is like can start with "what do you think of...." and talk about a current event, homework assignment, movie (complex movie), books, etc....
Some guys that feel intimidated by more intelligent girls may have other issues that they are dealing with... i.e. negligent parents who lower their child's self-esteem... secrets such as drug and alcohol problems... or just simple everyday puberty causing discomfort or misinterpretations of themselves which in turn causes them to have a low self-esteem...

Stupid boys in high school tend to gravitate toward the girls that appear to or will put out. There are smart boys in high school -- I hope you have the good fortune in finding one. When you find him, be his friend. Try not to let the stupid one intimidate you it is not worth your fretting over -- REALLY! Later in life, the stupid boys will start looking for all them smart girls. Be patient in these confusing teen years and try your best to stay focused on yourself and your studies. It will work out for you in the long run.

Boys concentrated extra on game and entertainment. females constantly had to be persuaded to purpose game and additionally chanced on entertainment uninteresting.

well it's absolutely not true. May be Some girls too focus on their study then they forget to have a date. I think a lot of male like the smart one.

Boys don't EVER like smart girls. And vice versa, really. Everyone wants relationships where they are intellectually dominant.

it depends on the guy. there is this guy in one of my classes who seems to like the girl who is really smart. if your smart then dont change becuase one guy will adore that and you shouldnt change yourself to get some idiot who just wants sex.
