Precious!!!
Great looking, healthy pup.
No, 11 lbs is good at 2 months. He will gain weight fast, so don't be alarmed. Make sure you are feeding large breed puppy food or he could develope problems as he grows. They are prone to hip problems if not taken care of.
As for the barking, he's just showing you that nothing really rattles him. I'd say if he plays and yips at you when you play with him and makes happy noises for you at home, then don't worry. He's a good dog and don't encourage aggressive behavior of any kind and barking at cats, kids and other dogs are dominant, aggressive behaviors. Encourage the quiet, sweet nature he has right now. Also, do not let him lead you when you walk, it will make him think he's the boss.
AND FOR THE PERSON WHO SAID THAT THEY ARE USUALLY AGGRESSIVE, SHE/HE IS DEAD WRONG!
You can't over generalize ANY BREED any more than you can a WHOLE RACE OF PEOPLE!!!! That's just ignorance talking. It's the same people who think all Pit Bulls are vicious, and are also WRONG.

Rambo is very handsome, and don't worry - shepherds are late bloomers. It takes them longer to mature than some dogs. Also, I hate to tell you this but they can be a little skittish. Make sure while you are training him you don't raise your voice or make too many loud or sudden movements. While he should be cautious, he shouldn't be afraid. Your Rambo is fine at 11 lbs, maybe even light considering he is male. They look very bulky as puppies, but he will thin out some. Shepherds are very voice sensitive and he will be able to tell when you are upset or angry and he will work very hard to please you. He will bark, as a matter of fact, shepherds are notorious for over barking if not trained - give him time. I raise shepherds and usually the females start barking earlier, but they are not as big or usually as territorial as the males - just mouthy.

You have a great friend in Rambo - enjoy and train him well.

His weight is fine. He is in the normal weight area for that age right now. Just remember to keep him lean while he is growing. Keep him on a premium large breed puppy food. It is very normal for him to not bark at this age at another dog. He will bark soon enough! Try joining a local obedience club and get him into puppy class for socialization. Keep up with the walking him on lead. You can also start him on sit and heal. If you are planning on doing tracking , he can be started with you laying a track of hot dogs for him. The book, Schutzhund, Theory and Management, is a good book to get. It gives basic obedience information including socialization, and also gives all the info about the different stages of Schutzhund including tracking.

Actually its very good that he doesnt bark at other dogs or cats. its nothing unusual if he is a calm dog. Does he hear alright though? Like maybe you should take him to the vet becasue umm he might have a like a problem or something. Cause I had a german shepard before and there usually very acive and not friendly with other animals. So just to be sure you might want to take him for yuor vet. ANd if he doesnt have a problem altleast youll know for sure. So if yuo take him to the vet all the outcomes are good casue if he does have a problem then you can care for it immediantly and if he doesnt youll feel better knowing hes alright.

Some dogs r mellow &don't bark. No big deal. & no i do not think hes overweight. It's very hard to have an obese puppy. Just let him eat the recommended amount of food each day & he should be fine. oh and congratulations on your new puppy.

Thank your lucky stars he isn't barking at everything. That doesn't mean he will not be a good watch dog if that is your concern.

Many dogs sit quietly and wait for the perfect time to bite.

I love puppies!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
He's a bit young yet so don't worry about him not barking at other animals. He's got a whole big world to explore and he's more concerned with doing that right now.
German shepherds are'nt supposed to bark much anyway altho apparently no one told my youngest one that until I did.And he won't believe me.
His weights fine.

It sounds like you are doing things right! I just would not take him around any other dogs unless they have all their shots since he is so susceptible at this age to diseases. He sounds and looks fine on his weight. . .He is darling! He has a wonderful dark pigment!

Keep up the socialization!

You are lucky to have one of the best breeds of dog! they are smart -- trained as police dogs -- they are loyal enough to fight to defend your family, but gentle enough to be raised with your babies
enjoy a great dog!
