Because teenagers are still learning how to properly have interpersonal relationships. Some mistakes are expected.

Honey, I remember when I was a teenage boy. I never listened to anything, let alone something I didn't want to hear. He'll stop. Ignore him.

ladies, men are walking hormones who need a women to be patience. we do think with both minds(heads) and sometimes words are not the best form of comunication. a smack up side the head or a gentle lead pipe comunicates wounders. now that show love,true love. i am feeling a tear coming.

Girls grow up in junior high....boys don't grow until.....I'm not sure we do?!?!?! So the are basically thinking with the smaller head rather than the one with the brain! Of course you will find this out later in life...maybe thats why girls turn to other girls??? Sorry I don't have a better answer!
