It is because are heritage is relatively unknown and we grasp what little we have. what is a Latino but a mixture of what is native of the land and with Spain. our pride is stemmed from uncertainty and fear for we lost our heritage by the hands of our conquerors. Besides we are all human who cares for the color of our skin, it is not race or money which defines a man but their actions. That is why i love this country and why it is so prosperious because every one from every where can live together and learn from one another and that, is a blessing.

First I am not Latino.
I am Scottish, Irish, Choctaw and proud of them all.
Pride in your heritage is something we should all have.
Like myself many Caucasians have such a mix going that we just call ourselves white and American, and we end up ignoring those who brought us this far. This is the reason we have rich white boys who think they are urban hoods.
Find out where you came from and be proud of the people that took a boat ride to get here.
Live Well and Shine on..............

I think Latinos have a beautiful heritage and I don't think they are too proud at all.
P.S. I live in southern California, alot of Latinos here and I like them and everything about their culture. Especially their food.

Sounds like you have a problem with "Latinos' . Put yourself in check and dig deep to find out what your personal problem is and fix it. You,ll be a better person for it.
I,m not 'Latino' . I am a person who lives near and around many different cultures of people and I find that good people come from different cultures just as rotten people come from different cultures . Sounds like a personal problem that needs reflection on your behalf.

How proud are you of your heritage?
What difference does it make to you how proud others are of their heritage? Are you that unhappy about your own life?

I'm impressed with them, they are more unified then any other race in the U.S., if I wasn't African-American, I would wish to be Latino. Seriously. They have won my respect. They are very organized and I want to see America turn bilingual. Rights and opportunity for all!

No one should be proud or ashamed of their heritage. No one chooses their parents.

Sterotyping on any level makes you look like a bigot. And why is this in the Religion and Spirituality Section?
