I'm not talking about iffy stolen type of software. Just regular programs that people claim ruined their hard drive when you know very well that's bullsh*t.

Yeah, the problem is usually between the back of the chair and the front of the computer monitor...LOL ;-)

It's very likely that they aren't particularly well informed regarding that which makes these bloody things work and honestly do think that it's a software problem. Don't condemn them. If you know the solution to their problem, offer it. Otherwise, don't let it bother you; it's not worth gettin' a headache over, ya know?
