Try frizz-ease - it will help to soften and lay your hair down a little flatter - then put on "Cat walk - curls rock "(its kinda like a lotion for your hair - but also works like a gel when it dries) it's made by tigi and is like $13.00 a bottle - I buy it a the hair place in my local wal-mart - there is no animal testing on the tigi products and I really don't know about the frizz-ease - but this will help alot

I tried straightening my hair one time - went to a salon and paid big bucks - what they did was to put a perm in my hair and comb it straight down, so instead of hold in the curl from a perm rod, it was supposed to hold in the straight from the brushing it straight down......well my head doesn't go straight down and any little bump or ridge in my head showed where my hair was being pulled down against my head and it looked like sorta straight, burned, hair with like a permanent pony tail ridge until it finally came back out - would never do it again - and a straightening iron only lasts till you wash it again and only gets close to the roots - but you will still have the kinkiness at the roots and it will not last through a humid day (I live in the south) and takes way too long to try to use this a solution - your best bet is too embrace the curl and find a good curly 'do

first, buy a line of products that are meant just to add smoothness and shine to your hair, such as garnier fructis's sleek and smooth line

if you want to risk some heat damage, you may want to invest in a good quality straightener. some good, relatively cheap brands (which can be bought at costco) include remington--wet 2 straight-- and conair. if you can spend about $100-200, i would buy a chi straightener, which works wonders.

to prevent heat damage and add shine, get a spray-on or gel heat protectant. they can be bought at walgreens, walmart, or any local beauty/drug store

a weekly oil and/or deep conditioning treatment

Dont use a straightener. It will make it worse because thats the way it works, but drying/killing your hair.
Try shampooing only every other day, but condition daily.
Frizz-Ease is awesome, but if you can find BioSilk, it works wonders.
It's pure protein to help your hair. Good luck!

Consult the hair expert. Other cases would be needing regular hot oil. Some others with need other more expensive treatment.

A salon can give you a perm type thing that straightens the hair....they don't use rollers, they just straighten it...
Please don't try any at home procedures with your hair...it will come out worse...take my word for it.
