This works with too much salt so I hope it a little helpful. Peel a potato or two and only cut in half. Put it in hot soup and cook for half an hour to 45 min. If the soup is already done be careful not to burn it. When the potatoes have softened, fish them out and discard (unless someone wants an spicy tater). Also, try fishing out some of the peppers, they will continue to burn as long as they are in there. If that doesn't work make sure you serve your soup with a cool salad and plenty of bread as lettuce and bread will take the sting off a burning tongue (no butter).

Sometime sugar can help, but that all depend on the the green hot pepers you added. I would suggest added some dumplings to help with the hot/spicy...breads are great for cutting the hot/spicy taste of foods or sever bread with your soup.

Honestly...that soup would not last long in this house...I have grown boyz in my home that love the hot/spicy stuff. I buy hot sauses with crazy names to keep them happy!

You can try peeling and cutting a potato in half, add that to the soup. The potato will absorb some of the heat but some of the salt too. Try adding some lemon juice.

Tell me why people who answer questions in Yahoo cannot spell to save their lives?

First, double the recipe without adding any more spice and it won't be TOO SPICY. Freeze half.

And the others it's: SAUCE, VINEGAR, PEPPER.

Add tomatoes they cut the heat, so does lemon or lime juice and sour cream. If you eat the soup with bread that and milk can cut the bite of chili. It really does work.

Yes, you can put in a little bit of sugar; then taste it. Add a little at a time until you get it down to where you like it. I'm talking about a pinch of sugar at a time.

You can use viniger to ease the spice. I HATE viniger but using it this way, you can't taste it. Add just a little at a time, like a teaspoon.

First, it's spicy. You can often add some sugar to cut it. But not too much.

Add cream and make it a Cream soup.
Thai food often has coconut milk to balance the heat.
