chi by farouk and sedu are absolutely amazing and get salon-straight results, but both cost from $100-200

if you want something cheaper that is good quality, i would strongly recommend the remington wet 2 straight, which can be bought at walmart for about $25 (just make sure you dont use it on wet hair, because that damages it) . i have extremely thick, wavy hair, and it straightens my hair in 40 min. max on a setting of 9 (out of 30). i bought it, i luv it

revlon is pretty good, too, but i would really recomend the remington if you want excellent quality

by the way, i dont advise using conair; it only works on thinner, slightly wavy hair, not hair like yours or mine

good luck!

I just bought a new one by Conair. Instead of a metal part, it's made of a material with Tormaline, which is less apt to fry the hair. It also doubles as a curling as well as a straightening iron, so it serves a dual purpose.

GHD is a really good brand and available through hair salons. They are a little expensive, but very good. Get one that has ceramic plates and temperature control.

get a Sunbeam with a self cleaning surface. My sister use it all the time and it never sticks to her hair. What is your Ethnicity or your origin?

i have the same exact kind of hair...i use revlon because it heats up real fast and works well, and works pretty well if ur not doing it layer by layer and ur in a rush.
