No, I have a patient who is addicted to brushing, she is literally wearing away the enamel and the yellow dentin is showing. Brush 2 minutes 3X a day.

Dude! You will damage the enamel on your teeth, brushing that long!
Use a toothpaste with a gentle whitener and only brush about 3-5 minutes 2 times a day, in the morning and before bed, after meals. Don't scrub hard with your brush either, you will cause your teeth and gums to become very sensitive. I found that drinking water with lemons helped mine become whiter. May not work for you, but worth a try. Hope this helps, good luck!

Only if you use something that been specifically designed to whiten your teeth. Years ago people used a combination of Baking Soda and salt, but the salt was to abrasive and over a long period it would take the enamel off.
Its best to get a tooth whitener at the Drug Store. Their are several good ones on the market and you don't have to brush 15 minutes.

You should not brush your teeth for 15 minutes, dentists recommend 3 minutes. You are removing too much tooth enamel and messing with your gums, which can start bleeding and you can easily get an infection. Try Crest Whitening Strips, they worked wonderful for me. Hope this helps.

No, I recommend you to do this
1. Brush for 3 mins with a pro spin brush. whitening (its only like $8 i think, and battery/head is replaceable
2. Use a whitening toothpaste w/baking soda
3. Use Listerine Pro Whitening
4. use the crest white strips to remove any stains you have now, only use what you need, i think only people with the worst case needs the whole box, i only used it for a few days and they were white

Talk with your dentist, using a whitening toothpaste and strips (Crest works) will whiten your teeth. Brushing too often is going to slowly strip the enamel from your teeth and begin the process of them decaying.

no!! that is bad for your gums and brushing is for cleaning, I suggest the New Pro health Crest toothpaste and Pro health mouth wash. It's recommended by my dentist and the mouth wash will help whiten your teeth and you should floss. If you really want your teeth white then use crest white strips and always see a dentist once a year for cleaning and for cavities.
