No only 2 breeds of dogs have black toungs unless they are cross breeds which some do have some black toungs. The CHOW CHOW and the Chinese Sharpe. both of hose breeds of dogs are the only breeds known to man to have the full black toungs. Other dogs you see with ANY KIND of black on their toungs are mixed breeds. Although is it also known that a purebred dog will have a black roof in their mouths. But not all of them. Even dogs who LOOK pure bred can still be a mixed breed.

no they are not if they do then they are not a pure bred golden retriever. i know because i breed them myself. i have been breeding them for 7 yrs and none of them have the black on their tongues. if the mans golden has black on his tongue then he is not a pure breed golden retriever, i don't know where he would get this from and if the breeder that he got the puppy from said this then that breeder doesn't know what they are talking about. they are going to be mixed with a chow or a sharpei dog, or the parents were mixed with something other then the golden breed. if you get a golden then you need to be sure that you go through an honest breeder and that you want to see the parents to make sure that you are going to be getting a pure bred golden retriever. i don't know where this guy is getting his information but it is not true for a golden to have a black tongue.
