It doesn't work that way. You have to be walking for at least a week or two before you begin to feel the slightest effects. It does work though. I'm diagnosed with it, but I go to the gym as much as I can. I can honestly say that exercise itself helps with depression.

give it some time---i'd say two to three weeks anyway. benefits from walking and meds come on slowly. but they do come on.
so just keep walking. also---remember that we're going into the winter months and there will be less sunlight---so if that bothers you, be aware. the walking my help to alleviate some of the symptoms of light deprivation--or whatever its called. i just know that some people get depressed during the winter because there's not as much sunlight---not sure what the medical name for that is.

Yes walking is very good for the soul. But for the max benefits you want to be alone with your own thoughts, this means no stereos, no headphones. Just be alone to think about things and this will help sort things out our help you make sense of things. You cannot do this with a radio.

It certainly can but there's no such thing as an overnight sure for depression. Stick with it, excercise has been proven to help. However it shouldn't be your only means of combatting depression.

Sure it will help, but if your depression is clinical that may require medication. There are many effect anti-depressants.

make yourself an upbeat track of music - pick your favorite songs. That helps me. Any type of exercising should release endorphins that will help your mood.
