OK, after reading some of the responses, I'm going to toss in my .02 worth. People do NOT want some momento/token from your wedding day, trust me on this one. They don't want a tiny frame with a picture of you 2 in it, they don't want a CD of your favorite music, they don't want some other little wedding tchotchke that will gather dust before they throw it away. However, if you give something to your guests as a favor that they can consume, then you're on to something. One of the most memorable wedding favors I ever got was 2 Krispy Kreme doughnuts. Another wedding had a candy bar, and each guest had a small sack at their dinner plate to fill with the candy. I think chocolate covered pretzels are a wonderful idea!!

I think that pretzels are considered more of a snack food than a wedding. I think that people are going to appreciate something that they can hold on to like a precious momento of some sort to remember your wedding day by. Pretzels are good as a part of your food table along with nuts and mints, not as a wedding day favor.

I like the chocolate cover pretzel idea , maybe do strawberries also.
I think the new wedding favor junk is way over rated and expensive.
My daughter is getting married in less than 2 weeks and we are keeping it simple. (we are planning the strawberries, pretzels, grapes and pieapple chunks with the chocoalte fountain).
as for the favors they can be the napkins with their names on it or the rice.(bird seed).

I like it a heck of a lot better then bubbles or Jordan almonds. I'd actually eat the pretzels. Though keep in mind that not absolutely everyone may like them, but it sounds like a good idea to me :)

Yes I LOVE that. If you want to spruce it up, put the amount you want in cellophane bags and tie a ribbon around the top that coordinates with your wedding colors. Or, go on ebay and buy some ribbon that has "thank you" printed on it. I found a vendor that did that kind of ribbon in a variety of colors and even had the bride and groom's name on it.
