After reading ALL of the question, I'm not goin to tell you to call the police (you did), file charges (filed), tell the school, (they know). First, is it a public school? If it is, they have a local Board of Ed. As a member of the public, you have the right to address that board during a public/monthly meeting. You'll have to check on your local board regulations on how to get on the agenda to speak (there should be website for the dstrict with a school board link). Also on their web or publicly available, the have to have written policies on discipline, etc. for a crime like that.
If it's a private school, they have some sort of regulating body. They'll be a little tighter on speaking at a meeting, but a lot more nervous about a lawsuit (pain, suffering, bills, mental anguish, etc.).
Whehter public or private, the State Board of Ed. is over both of them. They'll be very interested. Contact them again and again and again. ESCALATE! Write letters, make calls, e-mail them silly...
They're hoping that you'll give up and go away...
As far as an attorney, goes.. good luck. Lawyers, even good ones, will mostly only take on cases they KNOW that they can win. They're sure of getting paid that way.
Last thing, one of the most powerful tools for this could be the media. Local radio, TV, and newspapers. Even media outlets elsewhere in the state should get contacted (even CNN). If the shcool starts getting phone calls about why a girl was attacked and severely injured, yet nothing was done, they may just want to make it go away.
Even e-mail every elected person you can think of!
It's not going to be easy. Many letters and e-mails and phone calls (and Google searches) lay ahead... Fight back. This your baby! Escalate. Let everybody know.
Also, give the ACLU a call. Even if they can't help, they be able to give you a lead or tip. And don't give up finding a lawyer.
All the best to you and your daughter.

find out who asssaulted your daughter by asking her. then go to the prinipal's office. if he/she does not care call the police. if you are lucky, a good thing will bhappen and you will win. Now, it is time to go to court. Get a lawyer. Get witnesess. Get the culprit. Depending on how bad your daughter was assaulted, charges to the assailant will be higher. But hopefully it will not go that far . I am talking about the law. The court of law to be exact. Now, I am serious about what I am saying. I believe that women rights are awsome. These words, coming from a boy that is twelve years old in seventh grade. Wierd huh. Hopefully, everything will go into plan. I wish you luck.
1. Ask daughter who did it
2.Go to principal and/or police
After that, if anything gets serious and you go to court
3. Get lawyer
4.Get witnesess
5.Get suspect
Pray that nothing foolish will happen like a low bail bond or suspended sentence. This is the most serious and longest answer thet I have written. I hope that you will get an idea of what to do by my answer. Thank you. Quickly now, go, do not waist anytime thinking. Act.
( Five minutes later)
What the hell!!! The principal does not care!Tell him/her to take a crap. SUE the damn school. SUE the damn assailant. Go to the police. I mean, what kind of horrible person is this. This justs gets me mad. OK, I am going off the subject. From before, at step two do not go to that damn principal. Go to the police. I hope good luck to you. I hope that you get an idea of what to do now.
( two minutes later)
About that tape, you should demand that tape from the school. Once again, I hope everything goes well.

Call the police first. Then alert the school so that they can take actions to keep her safe in the future. If you aren't satisfied with the measures they take, send her to a different school or home school her. And most importantly, get the poor girl in counseling. It sounds like she's been through a great deal of trauma and will need help coping with it. Best wishes to her and your family.
After reading the additional information you added, I did a little internet searching and found a list of county Bar Associations in Ohio. Hopefully someone on this list or at the number listed to the right of the page can direct you to a lawyer who would be willing to take your case.

Big pit of worry here.
you have to take it up both medically and through law.
one get your daughter's medical track clean. all the medical records from the hospital should clearly say that bleeding and her mental agony was due to the injuries at the school
Twotake the consideration of lawyers..the schools reply on written documents, or record it into a video / audio mode to prove it at the court.
Third and final thing is to move your kid away from the school.
take advice from phycatrist..and see how this can help resolve your kid and the enviroment school has disturbed your kid..

You can check Yahoo Local for general practice or litigation lawyers. I recommend a quick email to Mike Szolosi Sr. who will either be able to help you or point you in the right direction.

First, you need to call the police. If her injuries are such that she needs medical attention, she needs to get to the hospital and have those injuries documented. You need to call her school and report the assault and let them know when and where it happened. If your child knows who did it, she needs to identify her attacker, and if she can identify anyone who may have witnessed the attack. Everyone needs to take this seriously, and you need to do your best to make sure that your daughter does not feel like she deserved it or that it was in any way her fault.

Not ask about it here! You should be talking to doctors, counselors, administrators, and law enforcement, not faceless people online!
You're the parent of this child -- you should already be seeking medical attention for your daughter, talking to counselors about what the next step should be, why the school didn't prevent this, how well it's responding to the assault, what sort of disciplinary action is being taken against the assaulter by the school as WELL as yourself (through a lawsuit)...

School should be notified immediately, and they in turn should call in the police. If for any reason the cops were not called, you do it. Don't let the kid try to talk you out of it 'cause she's scared. If the perps realize she's done that, they'll do it again, and probably do her more harm.

With so much violence in our academic institutions, you should easily be able to get justice for this atrocity. Security is a very challenged issue w/ those attending and working there. Did she have school insurance? Contact a Childrens' Right Advocasy.

Take her out of that school. Press charges. Ask her exactly what happened. That must be difficult for your family. I hope everything works out for your daughter.
