i dont feel confident that i will do well so i was wondering if i should postpone the tests to nov 4. so that way i can take the psats first. but anyways i heard from a lot of people the october test is easier... so im not sure what to do?! im a junior

and can you help me out with this error identification problem im trying to correct it.

Intense preoccupation on tenchique appears to be the one thing that great piantists have in common.

the word ON is the correct answer which is the error but im trying to figure out what word will replace that to make it grammatically correct.

On should be "with" and you misspelled pianist. Just take the test. At least then you will know where you stand, and can take steps to improve. Without taking it, you are just worrying about something you aren't sure of.

you are better off taking it as many times as possible. Even if you do terrible on this test, you will have a general idea of the exam. If you are under financial constraints then i would postpone and study for the nov. 4th exam.

An intense preoccupation with technique appears to be the one thing that great ("paintists" is not a word...you can use painters or artists instead) have in common.

I'm no grammar expert, but I believe "preoccupation with technique" would be grammatically correct.

As far as the sats are concerned, I think that the October test being easier is ridiculous...and it is my understanding you can retake them and they will count your highest grade, so why not just go ahead and take it.

It won't hurt you to take this test. It might help you do better on the PSATs and maybe you can be a National Merit Scholar!

Regarding the example, replace "on" with "with" to make it correct.
