Why did Jesus "Paul" come to Sual in a light when he was going to come to persecute the last Chistians?

Jesus came to Saul as bright light that threw him off his horse. He changed his name to Paul and began to evangelise.

your a little confused..Jesus is Jesus...Saul became Paul after he met Jesus..Saul was the one transformed and so therefore renamed.

If so, then why did Paul go on to surreptuously teach the opposite of Jesus' teachings whenever possbile?
