This woman asks a horrible question.....well it is horrible to those of us who have experienced the loss of a child. I give her an angry, but honest response. She then emails me to further preach this crap to me (which is not scripturally based), sends me links to some page on how we should truly see death, and harass me regarding my dead son. Then she reports me and I get a violation notice. Here's the question:

http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=AgaOW41h0SVJd9hf67tVXqzsy6IX?qid=20061009110515AAGKkpK

If you want to see my response to her just email me. I'd be happy to share it with you, but I won't post it here so that I'm not offending anyone (or in danger of another violation....LOL)

Is this christ-like behavior? And do you all realize that it is christians like this that give you all a terrible name?

As a christian, I would say no, this is not christ-like behavior. There are alot of people who claim to be christians but don't have a clue what christianity is all about.

I am very sorry for the loss of your son. I know the kind of pain you are going through as I have lost a son - 9yrs ago - and a daughter - 7yrs ago. Not only was this womans question misinformed, but also cruel for those of us who have experienced such losses.

I am a Christian and I am truly sorry that someone would post a question like this. I can see how it would be very hurtful and you are right- it is completely unscriptural.
I lost 3 babies before I came to know Jesus as my savior. They are in God's hands whether I am or was saved or not and no one has the right or ability to judge that. As for me raising them when I go to heaven- I really have not seen one scripture that would support that idea in any way.
I am sorry for any loss you may have experienced in your life.
I truly hesitate to call myself a Christian sometimes- though I believe that Jesus is my Lord and savior and I believe the Bible to be true, there are way too many that claim Christianity but use it as a weapon rather than to minister to those who are hurting and in need of Christ.
Please don't judge us all by this woman's lack of knowledge, lack of discernment and lack of Christlike compassion.
God bless you.

I don't know what your response was but I don't think it really matters. The question was cruel and has no real basis in scripture. That was a completely uncalled for, mean and spiteful question! I am very sorry for your loss I can not even imagine what you have gone through losing a child. My heart goes out to you and all others that have lost children.

I too, lost a son at his birth over 23 years ago... ...And I see evidence of his souls life still. I'm not christian. So with you knowing this for a foundation (so that you'll have some understanding from where I answer) - I answer your question...

I didn't know christian were different that what happened to you, just the degree of their actions.... You did get a violation, huh?

Journey, I looked at that question and decided to NOT answer it.
I thought that:
the ask-er was NOT looking for alternative explanations of the truth
but
for something that fit their prejudice!!!
Since I didn't fit their prejudice then that would be their opening to convert me (I'm not christian)!!!! Of which the yahoo censors would be on their side an not mine...

You seem to be looking for alternative explanations of the truth! I like that.
Those that are looking for something that fits their prejudice, well, I leave them to their objective, since I'm vastly outnumbered in my search for truth...

Christians, generally, don't know the history of their own religion. It was believe during the first 451 years of christianity, in "the bible" of that day, that christ existed only in sprit and not as a person,

http://atheism.about.com/library/glossary/western/bldef_monophysite.htm

so I don't believe that christ existed in person since the time nearest to his would be existance, no one saw him. only 451 years later was it believed that he actually lived in human form (in additon to spirit form)...
SOOO , any live human action, cannot be christlike!..

Wow, as a Christian, I apologize for her. No, I would not say that her actions were Christ-like at all. Unfortunately, there are a lot of people who "claim" to be Christians (keyword being CLAIM) and do a lot of damage for the true Christians. I don't understand why she would even say something like that.

you've been on yahoo this long, and just because she says, she is a christian-all Christians are given a bad name(quoting from you).
well,it hurts me as a christian when you say stuff like that.
I see atheists all the time on here say nasty stuff against Jesus.
Should I make a statement that so and so gives all you atheists a bad name.OF COURSE NOT!
If I ever, ever said that, every atheist would be telling off.
Look I understand you lost a son,but please don't drag me into that.
What is gonna happen in the future if you disagree with someone who just happens to be a christian???
what were all bad.no good.well thanks for judging me without even knowing me.btw,i have very good atheist friends on yahoo.
God Bless

First, let me tell you that I truly feel for you. I, too, lost my son, my firstborn.
And about the absolute idiots, such as her, in this screwed-up world, the best I could say is probably try to ignore it, and rise above it. I don't think there's hope for people like her.

Peace and strength to you:-)

I will only give my opinion of her question because I know what ur beliefs are but this person is highly misinformed and I consider her to be a religious fanatic who is very dangerous not only to others but to herself.

Sorry about your child .A person can claim to be anything but that does not make it so.Lots of people claim to be Christians but they haven't a clue--Book of Matthew chapter 25 verses 33-41.New Testament says 'by their fruits you will know them.'( by their actions. ) God bless you.

I am not Christian, but I think she belongs to the same crowd that produces groups like the Westboro Baptist Church that goes around picketing funerals.
