I've recently moved to this area, and I like this guy I'm playing music with, and I'm pretty sure he likes me, too, but I have unknowingly maneuvered myself into a position that is making me uncomfortable. We are really attracted to each other--this much I know, but things are unspoken and haven't really taken off because he has a girlfriend he has never mentioned, and because I was too distracted getting settled here to keep my eyes out. I picked up on enough signals, though, that I was prompted to do my research, and I recently went to a concert when I was able to see him holding hands with her. Problem is, we have also become good friends and are dealing with all of the rudimenary problems of a beginning relationship as a metaphor to the musical relationship. I want to scream sometimes, it is so insane!! How do I start to break down the wall and get some resolution on this without ruining out very solid musical relationship and without arguing???

If he has a girlfriend I wouldn't spill ALL of my feelings just yet. Why hasn't he told you that he has a girlfriend? Dishonesty is a sign of weakness. I would ask him about the other lady and see what his reaction is. Let him know, in a limited way, what your feelings are. After all, you do need to respect this other lady until HE makes the decision to end their relationship. You don't want to harbor the feelings of whether or not he would dump you to another girls influence. Say what you have to say to him, be his friend, and step back to allow him to freely decide. If there is truely something between the two of you, it'll be irresistable and unquestionable for him and ultimately for you also! Good luck!

You should probably start thinking about confronting him about it. I mean look, the dude has a girl friend, and this is how you feel right? Even though it may be an uncomforatble position for you, you should just remeber, life only happens once, and its all about taking the risks you can to make it more interesting.

If he has a girl friend already mabe you are reading the signals wrong. Let him make the first move, if girlfriend is still in the picture turn and run the other way as fast as you can. If her cheats on her he will cheat on you.
