They would have had to interbreed. The gene pool would have been so pure the risk of genetic defect would have been virtually non existent. Still creeps one out though.

How did they continue the human race? Adam and Eve lived for 100s of years and had many children besides Cain and Abel. In order to get the human race started, the children of the first man and woman married their siblings, which was not as genetically risky to do back then as it is today.

The same answers keep getting put out there over this very question. Just exactly how is incest okay for mankind back then, and isn't now??? The laws only apply when it is something that can't be answered?? Incest is wrong no matter what era you're talking about or living in! Forget the genetic argument, what about the moral side of it?

its a metaphor - just like the apple tree.
it doesnt have to be an apple tree it could have been anything
the bible uses a lot of metaphors and parables
there may have been many adams and eves of many nationalities
saying there was one makes the story more simple to understand
did god create the world in seven days- or seven years

adam and eve is just a story...i believe in God but I also believe the bible is full of metaphors and that you can't take the bible literally. True the bible is the word of God, but we are human, and with our human interpretations, i bet we aren't even close to what God is trying to tell us.

This is my question
Didn't adam and eve have two sons? So did the sons 'do' their mom?
And if so, how did we end up with so many different features like, big noses and small noses, wideset eyes and close together eyes
Didnt they all look alike since they did their mom?
