Why do you want your dog to have a large stomach? Do you ever see a guy with a beer belly at the beach getting looks from the girls?
Anyway, pit bulls generally are done growing physically by the time they are 2 years old. He has probably done all the filling out he will ever do, assuming you haven't kept him starved.
The fact is, most people keep their dogs too fat. My dogs often look skinny to most, but they are actually in ideal condition. My dogs, all pit bulls, are quite strong, and thickly muscled, although some of mine have had naturally thin builds, but were just as strong as the others.
I live in Arizona, and it is cruel as hell to keep a dog fat as hot as it gets here.
Dogs put on weight and store excess fat difeferently than humans. Fat first gets stored around their internal organs, like the heart, liver, kidneys, etc. Once these are fairly padded with fat stores, THEN the fat is stored on their ribs and stomachs. The problem with this, besides the fact that overweight dogs tend to suffer the same medical problems as overweight humans, is that this extra weight inhibits their ability to cool off. That can easily be fatal to a dog living in Arizona. Not to mention that it is uncomfortable for the dog, even if not fatal.
It sounds like your pit bull has a good equilibrium of strength and endurance. If you try to make him look how you THINK he should, you are more likely to screw that up than to make any improvements.

The best way to put more weight on that we have found is find a good dog food. You want something that has high protein and high fat. Also their is a new vitamin out called Nu Vet it helps also. A lot of breeders recommend it.

don't use cat food! Cat food has taurine in it, a digestive enzyme that dogs naturally produce and that cats are lacking, thus needs to be added to cats diets, causes diarrhoea in dogs. Try using whole proteins. Eggs once or twice a week, organ meats every couple of weeks and beef or chicken, raw if you like, or boiled if you don't feel comfortable with raw, every day or so, supplement with plain yogurt with acidophilus to keep the gut from rebelling... a tablespoon a day... and get lots of walks in there to balance out the gut loading with maintaining muscle mass.

Hmmm.... not sure why you are trying to beef up your pitt like that, Hope it's not for fighting. I feed my Pit Bull regular Purina food and lots of treats. He's all muscle! We also have a fenced in back yard so gets plenty of exorcise chasing balls and my German Shepherd around.

DO NOT USE CAT FOOD! It can cause pancreas problems big time also.
Don't worry about beefing up your pit unless you are trying to FIGHT HIM??!?!?! which I HOPE NOT.
