Me and my husband have had our dog for 3 months and lately we havent had anytime for our dog. I love him so much and dont want to give him away but it would probably better for him to have people who can play with him. Does anyone know were i can take him and get him a good home.

Rest assured your pet will go to a very good home as they are very meticulous about what kind of people adopt their animals. They may even have a foster home in your area. Another suggestion is you could get a pet sitter who could come and play and walk your dogs until you are able to spend more time. I wish you the best and good luck.

Find a NO-KILL shelter! They may have somebody searching for a dog just like yours! I just recently had to surrender a puppy back to the shelter and trust me it was (and still is) heartbreaking! But think about what is best for the animal... I dont want to freak you out but I read an article lately about people getting dogs from "ads" and killing them for the purpose of "medical research" I would be VERY careful about giving him to just anybody! Your local ASPCA would gladly accept the dog and try to have him adopted out... at least this way he can get a vet check, his vaccinations can be caught up if they are not, and he can get neutered when he comes of age. Just something to think about...

At the risk of sounding like a b*tch I DONT agree with the person above that told you to just go have a vet put your dog down... at least you are willing to admit that you arent able to care for the dog the way he should be cared for and taking the steps to fix the problem. Those people who commit these horrible crimes against animals have no heart. You seem to care about the well being of your pet! Good luck in finding him a good home!

Seriously consider the ASPCA!

Well, first thing is to put an add in your local news paper and see what results you get from this. BE PICKY when people call you about your dog. Next call the SPCA in your county and see if they can or have any ideas on who can also vets in your town can sometimes offer help on this. Also pet rescue you can get that phone number possibly on the computer by doing a google check or your phone book. Good luck

Go to dogster.com and place your dog as adoptable. try a family member or put up a poster at work. talk to friends and try and find him/her a good home. let animal shelters be your very last resort because if they can't find them a good home in a certain amount of time, well you can probably figure that one out. you can also try your vet they may know someone who's looking for a pet. Good luck !!!

I wouldn't place an add in the paper free to good home. The worse kind of people will be looking for these dogs for all the wrong reasons.Pet Finder and a add in your vets office is the safest way to go.Interview all prospects to insure your dog gets a safe loving home.

How sad. This happens a lot to people with good intentions. Can you wait and find him a home on your own? Shelters and Rescues have many animals to help... If you can find a home for him yourself- you may be able to visit him from time to time.

Post an ad at the vet, in the newspaper with a picture- hopefully it will prompt some replies pretty quickly. If not, I would find a rescue group in your area.

For goodness sake --- This goes back to RESPONSIBILITY

Would you get rid of a child on the basis that you don't have the time??? Or would you FIND TIME!!

If you didn't have time to foster your marriage would you simply disolve the marriage?????

When you adopt an animal (and you did this just 3 months ago) then you have MADE A COMMITMENT

This is so sad & pathetic... You chose the dog... You say you love the dog.................... Then fulfil your commitment when you decided you wanted the dog................

why in God's name did you get a dog in the first place! For crying out loud! I have been doing dog fostering for 11 years for an awesome rescue group... and every single time I hear this... "i love him so much" sob story I get so angry. We have taken in dogs that were hung, beaten, burned, thrown out of moving vehicles, left out in the forests to fend for themselves... If you really love your dog that much MAKE time for him... and if you can't...just take him to the vet and have him put down.... that's where his road will end anyway! At least be brave enough to kill him yourself and NOT pass your guilt and problems onto to some other person . I am so tired of this degree of selfishness!

you can either take him to the humane society or shelter. or you can put an add in the paper and tell the people who take him that you would like to be able to see him sometimes. my father-in-law took someones dog and they still see him
