I'm thinking about going to Jerusalem next year. But I would like to know how it is there.
How is the food there? Is it really dangerous there? How do people treat foreigners (ex. Germans)? Is it expensive? Is it easy to get a job there? How are the people there? How are the Jewish guys there...good looking, friendly, romantic, open, faithful, do they like black girls? I heard Israeli guys have a hard time showing their emotions, is that true?
Most of the Jewish and Middle Eastern guys I've met are gorgeous. And I don't care what the stereotype says, but I love their noses!!

Jerusalem is awesome--I went in 2003 and I would say it is one of the safest places in the world.
ALL historical places are preserved--mixed within the new it makes for a fasinating experience.

The food is wonderful whether it is a Kosher meal or a falafel stand in the Arab quarter.
Tourists are treated very well as tourism is a major industry for both Arab and Jew.

I found that most Arabs and Jews simply want to be able to work and care for their familys--they do co-exist side by side.
As for expense--it is up to the person --it can be very expensive to very little depending on what you want. Youth Hostels offer an inexpensive place to stay.

Food can be kept very reasonable by taking advantage of the many food stands.
The plane ticket is your largest expense but many good deals can be found.
The rest depends on what and where you want to do while there.

As for work--that should be done prior to going by getting a work permit. Many go and work as nannys etc...

There is an entire black population in Israel --so no worries there.
In other words--the people of Israel are just that, people.
Sterotypes as always--hold no merit--in other words--they are wrong.

HI,

The city is great, I live here for over 5 years. I like it. and they treat the Germans fairly well. at least the ones i know, BTW - there is quite a bunch of Germans round here. I think most foreign people I knew got along with a job, there are many foreign organisations working in the city, and some can use a german speaker. The people are very friendly, and there is a nice students community. The city has good pubs, cinemateq, art galleries and so forth.
Jewish guys like me are awesome!

(I am not really the president of Azerbaijan)

i love jerusalem. i spent 4 months there a few years back and it was probably one of the best times in my life. the food is great--if you like mediterreanan/greek food, you'll like the food there. you can find pretty much any kind of food, too--everything from argentinian to mcdonalds.

i would say expense-wise, it's probably pretty comparable to a standard american/european cost of living. people are friendly in general, but i had some weird experiences with men (being grabbed and/or shouted at) when i was out alone...so, be cautious if you're out alone.

have fun and enjoy my favorite place on earth!

Hi, I'm so happy that you want to come to Jerusalem! i'm moving there in a week, I'm an overseas student... if you want I can hook you up with one of my roomates, they are so gorgeous...one is a law student, and one has a cute dog...!
it depends what you want to work in - if it's atemporary job - no problam. like everywhere is the world, getting a real job is hard if you don't have a work permit.
You'll enjoy, it's no kidding when all the religions in the world love this city you know?...
:) good luck!

Come and be welcome. Jerusalem is great, safe, papers overplay the dangers. A lot of different foods from cheap to posh. Black people are as welcome as anyone else. After all, King Solomon loved the Queen of Sheba who was black, didn't he? No differance between Americans and Germans, what was was. We say in Hebrew, "Boruch habayeem" It means "Blessed arethose, who come." Shalom

Its an awesome place and the guys are to die for!

Beautiful to look at (actually so are the women- a very handsome race of people) but self opinionated, brash and loud.

That said they are good fun to be with and their country is beautiful to travel through.

Have a great time!

No I've never been in Jerusalem, but I hope I can.

I think it's very dangerous now, even for a nonmuslim. May be if I lived tell it's back to Arabs, I will go happily.

I really advice you not to go now, it's too risky.
