Is it possible to rekindle a high school romance? We never officially broke up.. I moved away and we just didn't see each other anymore. It has been 17 years and we recently just started talking again, very short, but have been.. Is it possible there might still be something there? I can't seem to get him out of my head for NOTHING.. and no he is not married, nor am I!!!! I know we are two different people now, but what do you think my odds are?

It happened for me...meeting up with a highschool crush. We were the "cheaters" and now we are married and have 3 kids...Everything happens for a reason...I say go get him. If he is always on your mind and you haven't forgotten him after all this time..go get him! Good Luck!

Your odds of making this work are exactly the same as the odds of two strangers meeting and considering romance -- because after 17 years, the two of you might as well be strangers. Treat this as you would any other potential new romance, and don't let your past history blind you to any warning signs in the here and now.

If you are both single, what's holding you back? You will never know unless you try to rekindle the relationship. You may find that you are both more mature and have a wonderful life together. This may be fate at it's best. Go for it!

I say GO GET HIM... I think your odds are great as I am going through that right now, and I will be moving 500 miles away in the next few months to be with the love of my life!!! This situation sounds like a camp fire ,,,,,,, It's burning bright and happy when every one beds down for the knight ,,,,, After a while the fire burns down and appears to go out ,,,,,,,, and when you get up in the morning the fire looks like it's out but when you remove the top ashes you'll always find hot embers and it's still hot so all you have to do really is just add some more fire wood to it and it starts burning brightly again ,,,,,,,, Yoda told you that ,,,,,,

the odds arent as bad as u think they are. some people might change but maybe the part you love about him or the part he loves about u might be the same. give it a try. it wont hurt to do so.

Just get together "as friends" and see how things go. Talk and share things with each otehr about what you have been doing. See where it goes from there.
