I am trying to identify one or two by name(for example Indian Ocean Tsunami & Hurricane Katrina, although I know these are both highly contested). Sources?

Disasters directly tied to global warming? Nothing really. Global warming is really not readily tied to specific showy disasters.

The big problems with global warming are somewhat subtle, but very large. Over years coastal areas will flood more and more. Changing temperatures and precipitation patterns will disrupt agriculture. Rich countries will have to spend huge sums of money to cope (more than solving the problem would cost), in poor countries many people will starve unless the already burdened rich countries help.

It's a big reason why people are reluctant to try and address the issue, there's no big obvious disasters tied clearly to global warming. But it's still really bad.

No individual weather event can be tied directly to global warming, just as one sparrow doesn't make a summer.

To blame the tsunami on global warming is just plain stupid. Do a bit of basic science and work it out.

None.

Last year, they blamed the hurricane and fire season on GW. This year, we haven't even had 1 major hurricane yet compared to last year's 10 by now.
