I sleep in the all together and kitten noses are cold in the middle of the night. And Ollie's purr could raise a death egyptian god, but I would never kick him out. When it gets too bad I stick him in my son's or daughter's room, and they do it to me some nights. Ollie wants to sleep with everyone.

My old tom cat sometimes likes sleeping under the blanket. So who knows! But it's awfully cute! My other cat used to sleep up next to my head and sometimes under the blanket with just her head showing...Alas that is no more...As for your cat he might out grow it and then again he might not.

I got my kitten when she was 5 weeks old. Under the blanket kept her warm and secure. She has since outgrown under the blankets, prefers to sleep at the head of the bed either side or on the 2 stack totes at the side of the bed.

Sorry probably not. How about you try keeping the blankets tight around you. As for the purring well sorry to say but he likes you and is comfortable with you. The louder they purr the more the love! I know it doesn't help you much but its a fact of life with a cat. Gotta lov'em quirks and all even the cold nose in your back! He's decided it was his spot all of his own. Try placing him where you would feel more comfortable. Yes over and over and over again. Sorry patience is my only answer

I got my cat when she was 4 months old and she was raised to sleep under the covers, so if you want to break your cat of this you better do it now while it is still a kitten

Probably not. It's cute though. I've had cats my whole life. Each one seems to prefer a different spot on the bed. I love it when they like to sleep on my pillow next to my head, but some just like being warm and snuggly under the covers. When I have one that does this, I try to train him to sleep down near my legs, where there's less chance of me rolling over on top of him. One that I have right now likes to be cuddled in my arms like a teddy-bear, and gets grouchy if I won't let him under the covers with me.

Some kittens like to feel the warmth under the blankets. She might or might not grow out of it. Depends on the cat.

Probably not. He likes it under there becasue it is warm and at least where I'm at it is starting to get cold!! It's the same reason your other cats like sleeping by your head/anywhere by you...it's warm!
If you've ever noticed on a cold winter day your cat's seem to lay on you more. At least my cat does and that's because she's cold. In the summer time, she isn't around near as often.

When mine was a kitten, she slept under the covers (at my feet), but gradually grew out of the habit. However, now she's almost four and every once in awhile she insists on `forcing' her way back under the covers and stays there all night.
She hasn't given up another of her habits though; every night without fail, when I go to bed and turn out the lights, she climbs on top of me, goes to my left shoulder and does a few minutes of kneading/marching. When it's uncomfortable (for me), I know it's time to clip her claws. :-)

Try getting him out of this now if this is your desire. Many cats enjoy this as domestic cats descend from wild cats that lived in the desert. So when they lived in the wild they liked to live in dens and to burrow. I think they feel secure and warm. My cats still do this and they are 4 and 6 years old. It doesn't bother me though.
