Who said no takers? According to testimony before the House, it is known to have happened.
"It is undeniable that terrorists have entered the United States by crossing our land borders illegally. The empirical evidence of terrorist entry is significant. Several cases are now publicly known. For example, on January 15, 2004, Mahmoud Kourani was indicted in Dearborn, Michigan, for conspiring to provide material support to a terrorist organization (Hezbollah). He had entered the United States by bribing a Mexican official to provide him a visa to enter Mexico, and then paying a coyote to smuggle him across the border into the United States. Kourani came to the attention of the INS while living with other illegal aliens in Dearborn and was initially imprisoned on immigration charges. It was later learned that he had trained with Hezbollah in Iran and Lebanon and was raising money for Hezbollah in the United States.
Another example that has been made public is that of Al Qaeda terrorist Farida Ahmed. On July 19, 2004, Ahmed was arrested in McAllen, Texas after crossing into the United States three days earlier. She had waded across the Rio Grande, and was bound for New York City. Terrorists know all about our porous southern border, and these cases demonstrate how effectively they have exploited it. And since 9/11 we have increased our security at ports of entry, which makes illegal border crossing an even more attractive means of entry. Moreover, we know that Hezbollah and Hamas maintain an active presence in the tri-border region of Brazil, Argentina, and Paraguay.
In addition to these specific cases, there are statistics suggesting that the number of terrorists crossing our southern border may be much higher than we think. In Fiscal Year 2005, the Border Patrol Apprehended 3,722 aliens from nations that are either designated state sponsors of terrorism or places in which Al Qaeda has operated.[3] We also know that for every one alien the Border Patrol apprehends, there may be three aliens who are not caught. If this is the case, then more than 10,000 aliens from high-risk, terrorist-associated countries illegally entered the United States in FY 2005. Obviously the majority of these aliens are not terrorists. But if only one in a thousand were, that would still be ten terrorists who successfully crossed our borders."

Maybe they are following the example of some of their 9/11 predecessors and waiting for an amnesty. Who says they have not taken us up on the invitation already? We have no idea who is illegal in this country, they could be anyone. If a poor, possibly not so educated guy from Mexico or any other south of the border can make it here, would it not be effortless for an educated terrorist who has spent months planning to come?

Remember that the number of terrorists is small. Some of them are caught or deterred before they reach the border. Some are caught or deterred after crossing the border but before committed an act of terrorism. Intelligence agencies, if they are wise, are not focusing most of their efforts on the average Mexican border crosser. They have some clues and leads. And, if terrorists do cross successfully, they may not act soon. They may wait years before receiving the order. So, there may be, and probably are, terrorists living in the U.S. waiting for the right time.

They're here don't even doubt it. The lack of security is the most dangerous thing we as a country have faced since world war II.
And our Government don't seem to understand or are afraid to face it. The illegals coming into this country is a very bad thing for Americans they take jobs and overrun our schools. They cost us millions of dollars in medical care etc. But, these are nothing compared to what the others will do if the borders are not closed and closed quickly..

i did no longer study all of that the two.... yet I do have self belief we want extra effective than a fence. i think of that if a fence replaced into built than it would pass down a techniques sufficient the place you does not prefer to purpose to dig decrease than it, and make it tall sufficient the place they might't climb over it (additionally permit's back it with armed protection stress). I additionally do no longer accept as true with those clowns in DC that say whats up there Mr. Illegals, eventhough you have been ongoingly breaking the regulation by staying in this us of a illegally (besides as taking advantge of our welfare structures) yet because you have already been doing it for various years, and have not gotten caught then specific you may stay!! And yeah, deliver over the relatives too!! it quite is a shaggy dog tale. Geez, i'm even for putting a fence up on our northern border.

They are, and are planning a new attack. There are not enough agencies to patrol both the entire Canadian and the Mexican borders, each thousands of miles long, so other operations are in the works to prevent the terrorists, that are already here, from being able to follow through on their cowardly acts. Lets hope these operations work this time.

anybody coming through the Mexico border only wants a better life, they mean no harm besides only Mexicans walk and work in the sun. Terrorists never even think of entering Mexico, the Mexico government guards the border to close so that only Mexicans can cross illegally

The last time I read an intelligence report (which is available on the net), there was discussion of a lot of terrorist movement back and forth across the border with Mexico.
Scary, isn't it.

My husband says it's because the terrorist are already established here and have been for a long time. I say that it's just a false sense of security that they're trying to get us to 'feel'. Anyway people who commit crimes come and go it's just because you're not affected by them that you don't see it.

Everyone got mad when the National Gaurd could have been sent down to enforce the border or even this new wall (I oppose the wall but we need tighter security instead). Seems like the American public thinks they will come from Canada instead.
