If only 144,000 people get to go to heaven, then the rest of us are outta luck, no matter how devote. Think about what you are saying BEFORE you say it.

Those are the annoited ones bought with the new covanant. The rest of us get to live on earths Paradise, Jehovahs original purpose with Adam and Eve. Those annointed ones will be in Heaven with Jesus making this earth back into its perfect state govering over the humans on earth. The reason those people are going up there because who better to know how to fix the problems on this earth? The did go through it. Im not worried at all! I cant wait to live in Paradise forever :)

This is a belief held by Jehovah's Witnesses, and it actually says that 144,000 go to heaven, and the remaining people who are worthy are returned to "paradise" which is what is going to happen to the earth after the judgement.
You also have to remember that many different beliefs are out there about what happens after death, so why be worried about just one?

This belief that only 144,000 righteous people will go to heaven is professed by the Jehovah's Witness religion--nobody else.

As one poster had said, these 144,000 will be high priests after the order of Melchezidek at the Second Coming and will go forth to carry the Gospel of Jesus Christ to all the lands on earth.

The Father in heaven will certainly not restrict entry of righteous people that obey His commandments and follow the precepts and holy word of His Son.

In Revelation it says there are 144,000 who are the sealed servants of God (Rev. 7:4-8)- but right after that is says "After this I looked, and behold, a great multitude which no man could number, from every nation, from all tribes and peoples and tongues, standing before the throne and before the Lamb..." (Rev. 7:9) Don't think the Bible would say the number of saved is 144,000 and in the same chapter say it was uncountable...

You have no idea what that is referring to don't you, see it proves my point that people read enough of the bible without studying words, or culture, then they get a point all twisted and try to make people feel bad or worried.
That's stupid more thatn 144,000 people will be in heaven
besides that's a Jehovah's witness belief not christian, if you studied you would have known to address this to them.
study up people.

Why am I worried? The Bible does not teach that all good people go to heaven. If Adam and Eve had not sinned, where would they be today with their offspring? Right here on earth. Jehovah's purpose for the earth was for it to be filled with humans who willingly and faithfully serve Him. Will that purpose fail? No. The earth is my home and this is where I want to live forever.

The 144,000 are the ones bought from the earth to serve as priests and kings in heaven, they are of the first resurrection, they are from every nation, people, and tongue starting with Israel. The rest of righteous mankind will live forever on a restored paradise earth. Psalms 37:11,29 Yes my brain has been washed clean of the filth and the lies of this wicked world under Satan's control.

A little known fact: when the book of revelation was written 144,000 was the highest number. If the author would have been around today, he would have said 144,017. Don't blame God. Blame humans for not having the ability to count past 144,000 when they needed much higher numbers.

You are talking about the 12000 from each Jewish tribe that God will send out upon the earth during the tribulation period, in the book of Revelation. All who confess Jesus as Lord (Adonai) and trust in Him for our salvation will be saved.

The Watchtower Bible and Tract Society seems to think that this is all the people that will get to heaven...I haven't been able to find a JW to explain how they came to that conclusion, what passages are telling them this.
