Well, you should be able to use pretty much any other oil that you have, like canola oil and possibly olive oil. If you don't have those either, then try improvising and adding some softened butter or crisco. I hope it works out.

You can use applesauce. It not only makes for a lower fat recipe, but it will also make it just as moist and rises just the same. You are supposed to use the unsweetened kind, as the cake mix already has enough sugar in it. One half cup oil = one half cup applesauce.

melted butter or melted butter crisco. I often use butter crisco, in place of butter, for baking. If you have canola oil or olive oil, they're good substitutes, too.

depends on the kind of cake you are making.
reasonable substitues are in order of preference
Mayonaise
Applesauce
Eggwhites with a couple tablespoons of water
Clarified Butter
Margarine
Yogurt

apple sauce, but I'm not sure how much. Usually on the box they give you alternative low-fat or low-cholesterol versions and apple sauce is included.

you could use three tbls of melted butter or margarine I prefer margarine but it's really up to you, depending on what you have available.
