NYC! You just get lost in how huge it is and how anonymous you can be. You can do whatever you want and nobody would look at you twice - it's just so crazy there, and in a good way. There is sooo much to do and it's truly open all night and there is never a dull moment - even if it's just walking in Central Park or walking down the street, it's exciting. But NYC is not for the faint hearted - it's a fast moving city that never sleeps. And it feels safe (even if it always isn't) because there are always people around! Have fun!

Listen to Frank Sinatra; New York, New York! It's a real city with glitz, fine restaurants according to any price range, neighborhoods, a public transportation system, much more centralized and everything, or anything, that a person would wish and dream for. Can you ice skate in Central Park, do Broadway shows, visit the Met, world famous museums & art galleries, find NY delis, bagels, NY pizza & cheesecake, take the cruise around Manhatten, hang out down in the Village, route for the Yankees, Mets, Nicks, Nets, Giants, Jets, Rangers or Islanders in LA? No.

New York, where the smartest and richest people are. Where you have all four seasons, and clear skies a lot of the time. Where you can get anywhere of any importance in 20 minutes without getting into your car, where you can walk outside and find anything you need in a 1/2 mile radius 24 hours a day. Also, the best pizza in the world.

LA is full of airheads who wanna be on TV, is a giant parking lot covered in a gray haze 365 days of the year. The people taaalk real slooow dude and like ya know they have nuthin' to say -- and you have to drive 10 miles to get a quart of orange juice. And the pizza sucks.

Ok… Can anyone name a place that in one day you can head out desert exploring, go up to the mountains to do some skiing/snowboarding then head out to a beach to work on your tan and then go home get dressed and go out to a killer restaurant and finally head out to a happening night club all with pretty good weather? Where else can you do this in the States other than LA all in one day? Tell you what… tourists/East Coasters visit/move here and they bring there bad stuck up attitudes as if there Sh.. don’t stink and say the LA people have attitudes and then they are expect to find Disneyland, Magic Mountain, Universal Studios, Downtown LA, the Miracle Mile, Hollywood, the Sunset Strip, Beverly Hills, West Hollywood, Silver Lake, Santa Monica, Venice Beach to be within a mile radius. Not so… if you want to get taste of what LA is you need weeks not a weekend… and a car. LA has it all, Tourist attractions, Beaches, Landmarks, Museums (the Getty’s) awesome Restaurants and plenty of shopping (outlet mall’s) and night life and yes… LA even has the bad stuff just like every other major city in the world (LA is ranked 10th safest city w/population of 500,000 or more out of 27cities) so if you think LA is boring with no hidtory, culture and nothing to do or see with no good to restaurants or shopping. Stay home and be miserable in you own happening and exciting city with your perfect climate (tornados, hurricanes, floods, choking humidity, excruciating heat and freezing winters) because if you can’t find anything to do in this city you are either a boring person, mentally challenged or just a very, very, very poor planner with a bug up your ars. Check out LA.com or experiencela.com for some ideas and morganquitno.com/cit01pop.htm for city rankings. Stay away from Compton!

Los Angeles closes at 10pm, 5pm downtown
New York is a fashion mecca
Los Angeles has NO dress code

la would have by far the best weather, , , i used to go there quite a bit, , , with their new smoking laws i never will again, , , im going to go all day without a cigarette at disneyland? ? ? i dont think so.

new york is full of weird people, , , well, so is la, , , i dont know the smoking laws in ny because i have never left anything there to have to go back and look for,

New York! LA is a hole in the wall. A lot of poor and hopeless. If you're not trying to be an actor. Forget it.
